Who We Are and What We Do
SCRIPTURE PROVIDES THE CONTEXT
FOR OUR MISSION
“... and what does the Lord require of you but to do
justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with
your God?”
Micah 6:8
“ ...Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave
you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?
And when was it that we saw you a stranger and
welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And
when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited
you?” And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you,
just as you did it to one of the least of these who are
members of my family, you did it to me.”
Matthew 25:37-40
Thus inspired, the Commission seeks to respond
to God’s call to serve as peacemakers, to connect
with, empower and equip ourselves and our
neighbors - locally and throughout the world - to
be God’s hands in the world.
Our Mission Statement
Empowered by God’s spirit and grace,
we partner with our congregation
in service to the world.
